Utah Beef Council Staff
Brent Tanner graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor's in Agribusiness & Economics, minoring in Animal Science. He also did graduate work in Beef Cattle Management. Brent was hired as the Executive Director in 1991. He oversees all aspects of the beef checkoff programs.
Jacob Schmidt, RDN
Jacob Schmidt is a graduate of Utah State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics. He has worked as the programs director at the Utah Beef Council since June of 2002. Jacob handles the day to day marketing and advertising for the checkoff programs.
